
Gretchen Midgley is a high school junior in the Los Angeles area. She is a singer, actress, filmmaker, and writer. Gretchen loves both performing and creating and is always working on one project or another. She has been singing since she could talk and acting since preschool. Gretchen performs in her high school theatre program and recently played both the role of Miranda in Shakespeare's The Tempest and a supporting role in an adaptation of The Arabian Nights. She plans to perform in two more productions in the upcoming year. Gretchen is always singing, especially songs from musical theatre. Her favorite musicals include Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Newsies and Into the Woods. (She has performed in Les Miserables and will be in a production of Into the Woods next spring.) Gretchen is also currently writing and planning to produce her first feature-length independent film soon. Gretchen's hobbies include songwriting, playing the guitar, reading, being creative in general, and spending time with her friends.
